Rushmere puppies are raised in our home. We strongly believe that early socialization and lots of love at an early age make for a confident and well-adjusted puppy, preparing them for their big new world. We expose the pups to as many different sights, sounds and textures as possible, making sure they are ready for their new home when they leave us at 8 week old.

All puppies are examined by our licensed veterinarian. Puppies will receive their first set of vaccinations and will be microchipped before they go home.

We recommend training classes, walks and retrieving games to develop your pups body and brain. These activities will also help develop a strong bond between you, your family and your puppy.

Please do not take your puppy out in public, until it has had its final set of vaccines. Places like Home Depot, pet stores, dog parks, etc. are off limits.

Get your puppy started with basic training classes, involve the puppy with outdoor activities, introduce the puppy to other dogs, children and adults, making sure to do it in a safe, relaxed way.

Please make sure to provide your new puppy with a life-long commitment of a safe, confidant environment, regular vet visits, proper nutrition and most important of all....lots of LOVE !!

In the interests of protecting the Labrador breed and not contributing unnecessarily to the problem of pet overpopulation, Rushmere Labradors puppies are only sold on a non-breeding AKC Limited Registration.

Limited Registration the means that the puppy will not be bred and will be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age. We recommend that bitches be spayed after their first heat cycle and dogs between the ages of 12-15 months.
